Dr Mary Fraser

BVMS PhD CertVD MResCVR MAcadMEd CBiol FRSB FHEA FRSPH FRCVS

Mary graduated from Glasgow Vet School in 1994.

 

She has over 20 years' experience in course development and teaching, in undergraduate / postgraduate veterinary medicine and veterinary nursing.

She is one of an elite group of vets who have been given Membership of the Academy of Medical Educators and was delighted recently to be awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons for her commitment to advancing veterinary and nursing education.

 

She has lectured and published widely on dermatology, nursing, ethics, communication skills, emergency nursing, mental health in the profession, conservation, evidence based research and has developed a training programme for clinicians working with Guide Dogs in practice.


She has been a Director of Girling & Fraser Ltd since 2005 and is an enthusiastic businesswoman and entrepreneur. 


She recently completed a Masters in Clinical Veterinary Research focussing on Clinical Decision Making. Her main interest is on the ways in which veterinary professionals make decisions.
